I grew up in Rochester, New York, attended Villanova University, and received my MA from the City College of New York
I have taught creative writing at the collegiate and community level for nearly 20 years, including Sacred Heart University, the College of New Rochelle (Rosa Parks Campus), and the Rochester Institute for Technology, I am also a columnist for The Good Men Project, and the Editor of Vine Leaves Press's 50 Give or Take series.
My first published novel, The Book of Ash (October, 2013), a dystopic comedy, was described by one reviewer as, “1984 meets Fight Club.” More recently, Vine Leave Press has published three collections of my short stories: Two Syllable Men (April 2016), What’s Wrong With This Picture? (2019), and Automatically Hip (2022)
